The Amgen Tour of California is the largest professional bicycle race held in North America. For 2019 the route started in Sacramento and headed it’s way south finishing in Pasadena at the Rose Bowl. It was a race that featured many climbs including Rancho Cordova to South Lake Tahoe and the infamous Ontario to Mt. Baldy Stage. New for this year featured three stages for the women which included a start in Ventura county, Mt. Baldy and Pasadena stages. Absent this year was a time trial that frustrated the specialists but favored the pure climbers. This race may be known for showcasing the young riders as the last two versions have seen winners from Egan Bernal in 2018 and now Tadej Pojacar who at 20 years old is the youngest rider to win a UCI stage race.

Our episode features interviews and interactions from the cyclists as well as staff including Kristen Klein, Mike Sayers, Dave Towle, Simon Geschke, Tejay van Garderen, Daniel Oss, Kasper Asgreen, Brodie Chapman, Sarah Bergen, Liza Rachetto, Tayler Wiles, Chloe Dygart, Michael Creed, Travis McCabe, Sam Boardman, Zdnek Stybar, Nathan Haas, John Delkenkolb, Rohan Dennis and more. It’s a star studded line up and we bring you the action up close and personal.
