I came across Gordon when I stumbled into his shop when it was a tucked away hidden gem of a converted oil and lube shop. He transformed it into the place to be for cyclists not only to hang out but to get their precious steeds worked on. Since then he has been my go to mechanic. He’s built several of my bicycles, thrown fantastic parties, and can solve problems other mechanics wouldn’t dream of touching. He’s built a name for himself by providing quality service to all cyclists especially the ones that like to go fast. The Velohangar name is omnipresent and if someone has a mechanical that can’t be solved, you take it to Gordon. Gordon sits down and we discuss the ways bike shops are changing and how he has created such a loyal following. We talk about the customer/client relationship and some of the projects he’s been working on. From Di2 cable routing to designing kits and pint glasses, Gordon is definitely an artist which shows in his business. He’s one of the few people that I trust to work on and build my bike. He see’s Velohangar as his passion and even hints at the future of his business and cycling shops in general.
